Data Deletion
Last updated: October 30, 2026
This page explains how to delete data associated with Babel (com.kodmap.aichatbot), a mobile application by kodmap. It is the deletion route referenced by our Privacy Policy and by the Google Play Data safety form.
Babel has no sign-up: the app creates an anonymous account for your install (a random ID, no name, no email, no password). Your chats stay on your phone; our servers keep your token balance and usage records.
1. Delete your account in the app
Settings › Delete my account, then confirm. This permanently deletes, from our servers:
- your account (the anonymous Firebase account, and its link to Sign in with Apple if you made one),
- your token balance and all of its parts (daily, bonus, subscription and purchased tokens),
- your usage and purchase records,
- conversation summaries, if conversation memory was on,
- the link between your device and the account.
The app then starts a fresh, empty account. This cannot be undone, and remaining tokens are lost.
On iOS, Delete my account appears in Settings once your account is linked with Apple (Keep tokens on a new phone). An anonymous iOS account that was never linked can be deleted by email — see section 4.
What stays:
- Your subscription. Deleting your account does not cancel Babel Plus — cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Apple, Google and RevenueCat keep their purchase records for the periods their terms and tax law require.
- The welcome-bonus flag. The fact that this device already received its welcome bonus stays with Apple's device check service (DeviceCheck) on iOS. It contains no identity.
- Server logs expire automatically after 30 days; aggregate counters with no identity in them are kept.
2. Delete your chats
Chats, translations and your phrasebook are stored only on your phone.
- Settings › Delete chat history removes all chats from the phone.
- On Android, deleting your account (section 1) also clears them.
- Uninstalling Babel removes everything stored on the phone. On iOS, a random device key stays in the Keychain so a reinstall can find your balance again; it is not linked to anything once your account is deleted.
3. Analytics, crash reports and push token
Analytics and crash reports (Google Firebase) and your push-notification token are tied to random identifiers for your install, never to your name or email.
- Stop collection: turn off Share usage data in the app's Settings (stops Google Analytics and Crashlytics on that device), or uninstall the app — a new install gets new identifiers. Turning off notifications for Babel stops push messages.
- Delete what was already sent: analytics and crash data expire automatically after the retention period set in our Firebase project. If you want them removed earlier, email us; we will tell you what we can match and delete it within 30 days.
4. Ask us by email
Email kodmapdev@gmail.com with the subject "Delete my Babel data", or use our Contact page. Tell us your platform (iOS or Android), the approximate date you installed Babel and, if you have one, your subscription's order ID from the App Store or Google Play receipt — because your account has no name or email in it, these details are how we find it. We will delete the matching account and data and confirm within 30 days.
